Rayence Xmaru 1717SCC/SGC Tethered DR Panel

The Rayence Xmaru 1717SCC/SGC is a 17 × 17-inch tethered DR panel designed for fixed digital radiography environments that prioritize a permanent GigE connection. Available in CsI (SCC) and GOS (SGC) configurations, it delivers full-size imaging while fitting standard ISO 4090 cassette tray installations.

Permanent GigE Connectivity for Fixed Digital Radiography Rooms

The Rayence Xmaru 1717SCC/SGC is designed for imaging environments where a permanently connected detector is preferred over battery-powered wireless operation. Its full-size 17 × 17-inch imaging area, GigE communication, and ISO 4090 cassette dimensions make it well suited for compatible DR retrofit projects and dedicated radiographic rooms.

  • Full-size 17 × 17-inch (460 × 460 mm) tethered DR panel
  • Continuous GigE data communication
  • Available in SCC (CsI) and SGC (GOS) configurations
  • Fits standard ISO 4090 cassette tray installations

Because the detector maintains standard cassette dimensions, facilities can upgrade compatible radiographic rooms to digital imaging while preserving existing buckys and familiar positioning workflows.

When a Tethered 17 × 17 DR Panel Is the Right Choice

Eliminate Battery Management in Fixed Imaging Rooms

For facilities where the detector remains in a dedicated imaging room, a tethered connection eliminates battery charging and battery replacement from the daily workflow while maintaining continuous communication with the imaging system.

Benefits include:

    • Continuous wired communication
    • No battery charging or battery replacement
    • Full-size 17 × 17-inch imaging area
    • Stable detector connection for fixed-room imaging

Features Designed for Dedicated Imaging Environments

The Rayence Xmaru 1717SCC/SGC focuses on dependable operation within fixed radiographic rooms by combining a permanent GigE connection with the same cassette-sized detector format used throughout many retrofit DR installations.

High-Speed GigE Communication

The Gigabit Ethernet connection provides continuous detector communication without relying on wireless networks or battery power.

ISO 4090 Cassette Compatibility

Standard cassette dimensions simplify installation into compatible bucky trays during DR retrofit projects.

Carbon Fiber Detector Construction

The detector housing is designed for everyday clinical use while maintaining a thin cassette profile for familiar handling.

Large 17 × 17 Imaging Area

The full-size detector supports broad anatomical coverage while reducing detector repositioning during many examinations.

Designed for Compatible DR Retrofit Projects & Fixed Radiographic Rooms

Compatible X-Ray Systems

The Rayence Xmaru 1717SCC/SGC is intended for compatible fixed radiographic systems that use ISO 4090 cassette trays and support tethered detector installations.

Compatible environments may include:

    • Fixed radiographic rooms
    • DR retrofit projects
    • Digital radiography upgrades
    • Existing ISO 4090 cassette tray installations

Clinical Environments That Benefit From a Tethered DR Panel

The detector is well suited for facilities that routinely perform digital radiography using dedicated imaging rooms where a permanent detector connection is preferred.

Common environments include:

    • Hospitals and health systems
    • Medical imaging centers
    • Orthopedic practices
    • Chiropractic clinics
    • Veterinary imaging facilities
    • General radiography departments

Choose Between SCC & SGC Detector Configurations

The Rayence Xmaru 1717 is available in two tethered detector configurations.

Xmaru 1717SCC

The SCC configuration uses a Cesium Iodide (CsI) scintillator.

CsI uses a columnar crystal structure that helps direct light more efficiently through the detector. This can improve detector efficiency and support excellent image quality at lower radiation doses.

Xmaru 1717SGC

The SGC configuration uses a Gadolinium Oxysulfide (GOS) scintillator.

GOS is a proven scintillator technology that provides dependable image quality while offering an alternative detector configuration based on facility preferences and imaging requirements.

Both configurations share the same detector platform, dimensions, GigE connectivity, housing, and overall specifications. The primary difference is the scintillator technology selected during system configuration.
