Innovet by Summit Specialist Veterinary X-Ray

The InnoVet Specialist by Summit is a high-frequency veterinary X-ray system for veterinary practices and animal hospitals that need flexible positioning, digital imaging compatibility, and configurable system options. Its large patient table, flexible tube positioning, digital imaging compatibility, and configurable equipment options support a broad range of veterinary radiography needs within one dedicated X-ray room.

InnoVet Specialist Highlights & Benefits

The InnoVet Specialist combines a 30 kW high-frequency generator with a large radiographic table and flexible tube positioning for practices managing varied patients and examination requirements. Multiple system options also allow facilities to configure the equipment around their room, workflow, and imaging needs.

Key Benefits

    • 76 x 30 in. (193 x 76 cm) tabletop provides ample patient positioning space
    • Welded table construction supports animals up to 400 lb. (181 kg)
    • 40 to 125 kVp and 0.5 to 400 mAs ranges provide exposure flexibility across different patient sizes and anatomy
    • Full vertical tube travel and electric locks support controlled positioning for different radiographic views
    • Digital-ready design works with most digital imaging systems
    • Optional extended rails and wall cassette holder expand off-table imaging capabilities
    • Available generator, programming, and table upgrades support different practice requirements

For practices that need more than a fixed, basic radiography configuration, the Specialist provides room to adapt the system to both current workflow and future equipment needs.

Flexible Positioning for Varied Veterinary Exams

Patient size and positioning needs can change significantly from one exam to the next. The InnoVet Specialist combines a large table with adjustable tube movement to give veterinary teams more flexibility within the radiography room.

Large Tabletop Accommodates Different Patient Sizes

The 76 x 30 in. (193 x 76 cm) tabletop provides space for positioning a range of veterinary patients, while the welded base supports animals weighing up to 400 lb. (181 kg).

Effortless tabletop travel helps the operator align the patient with the X-ray tube and image receptor without relying entirely on repositioning the animal.

Adjustable Tubestand Supports Different Radiographic Views

The tubestand provides full vertical travel with electric locks, an angulation dial, and operator handgrips. Together, these features make it easier to raise, lower, angle, and secure the X-ray tube for different patient positions and projections.

The Specialist can be configured with a floor-to-wall or ceiling tubestand using standard 5 ft. (1.52 m) rails.

Off-Table Imaging Options Expand Room Flexibility

Optional extended tubestand rails increase the tube’s travel beyond the standard table area. When paired with the available wall cassette holder, they support exams that require the patient or image receptor to be positioned away from the tabletop.

Veterinary Clinical Environments & Applications

The InnoVet Specialist is designed for busy animal hospitals and specialty veterinary practices. Its larger table, adjustable tubestand, and available configuration options make it particularly suited to facilities where one radiography room must support varied patients and positioning requirements.

Veterinary Clinical Environments

The Specialist is suited to:

    • Animal hospitals
    • Specialty veterinary practices
    • Veterinary facilities with dedicated radiography rooms
    • Higher-volume veterinary imaging environments

InnoVet systems are also used more broadly across general practices, specialty and emergency hospitals, humane societies, zoos, military veterinary treatment facilities, and veterinary colleges.

General Veterinary Radiography

The Specialist supports general diagnostic veterinary radiography, including routine skeletal, thoracic, and abdominal imaging.

Its combination of tabletop and optional off-table positioning gives practices flexibility when the required view or patient size makes a standard tabletop setup less practical.

Efficient Veterinary X-Ray Workflow

The Specialist is designed to keep positioning and technique selection straightforward while giving operators enough control to accommodate different patients and examinations.

Broad Exposure Range Supports Varied Imaging Needs

The 30 kW high-frequency generator provides a 40 to 125 kVp range in 1 kV increments and a 0.5 to 400 mAs range with more than 100 selections. This broad technique range lets operators adjust exposures for differences in patient size, anatomy, and examination requirements.

Digital mAs, mA, and kVp readouts keep the selected exposure settings visible during setup.

Table & Tube Movement Reduce Positioning Limitations

Smooth tabletop travel works together with the vertically adjustable tubestand to give operators multiple ways to align the patient, tube, and image receptor.

Electric tubestand locks secure the selected position, while the angulation dial and handgrips assist with controlled tube adjustment.

Anatomical Programming Is Available for Faster Technique Selection

An optional anatomical programming upgrade can provide predefined technique selections for commonly performed examinations, helping streamline exposure setup when protocols are standardized within the practice.

High-Frequency Imaging & Digital Compatibility

The InnoVet Specialist combines high-frequency X-ray generation with digital imaging compatibility, allowing practices to build the system around their preferred radiography workflow.

30 kW High-Frequency Generator

The standard 30 kW, 20 kHz high-frequency generator provides the exposure range needed to accommodate different veterinary patient sizes and anatomical areas while allowing precise 1 kV technique adjustments.

Practices that require additional generator capability can select an available 40 kW high-frequency generator or 500 mA generator upgrade.

Dual-Focal-Spot X-Ray Tube

The X-ray tube uses 1.0 and 2.0 mm focal spots with a 140,000 heat-unit rating, providing flexibility for different exposure requirements while helping the tube manage heat generated during repeated radiographic use.

Manual Collimation Supports Accurate Field Positioning

A manual collimator with a light field and swivel mount helps operators align and limit the X-ray field to the area being examined.

The field light can be set to remain on for 30, 45, or 60 seconds, giving the operator selectable time for positioning before exposure.

Digital-Ready Design Supports DR Integration

The InnoVet Specialist is compatible with most digital imaging systems, giving practices flexibility to integrate the X-ray equipment with a compatible digital radiography workflow.

This also provides more flexibility when selecting or updating digital imaging technology rather than tying the radiographic system to one detector platform.

Configurable Options for Different Practice Needs

The Specialist can be configured beyond its standard setup to address different room layouts, patient populations, and workflow requirements.

Available options include:

  • 40 kW high-frequency generator upgrade for additional generator capability
  • 500 mA generator upgrade
  • Anatomical programming for streamlined technique selection
  • Variable-height elevator table for adjustable working height
  • Extended tubestand rails for greater off-table tube travel
  • Wall cassette holder for additional positioning flexibility

These options allow facilities to select features that match their actual workflow rather than purchasing a single fixed configuration.
