20/20 Imaging K4WAIR Mobile X-Ray

The 20/20 Imaging K4WAIR is a lightweight mobile X-ray system for mobile healthcare providers, sports medicine teams, and point-of-care imaging programs. It combines the K4W four-way cart, battery-powered Poskom PXM-20BT+ generator, wireless DR options, and Ultra Acquisition Software in one configurable imaging platform.

20/20 Imaging K4WAIR X-Ray System Highlights & Benefits

The K4WAIR combines X-ray generation, positioning, digital image capture, and image review in a mobile system built around the lightweight K4W cart.

The four-way tube arm supports flexible positioning around the patient, while the battery-powered generator allows imaging without continuous AC power. Wireless DR and acquisition software complete the digital workflow.

How the 20/20 Imaging K4WAIR Supports Positioning & Transport

The K4W cart is designed for both equipment transport and patient-side X-ray positioning. Its compact design allows the system to move between imaging locations and transition into an operating position when it reaches the patient.

Four-Way Tube Positioning

The K4W tube arm moves up, down, right, and left, providing flexible adjustment of the X-ray source around the patient and detector.

An arm-locking mechanism secures the tube arm during transport and releases it when positioning is needed for an examination.

Compact Transport & Setup

The K4W transitions between travel, transfer, and operating positions to support movement from transportation into the imaging environment.

A fold-under front leg reduces the cart footprint for transport and storage before the system is repositioned for patient-side imaging.

Single-Action Cart Braking

A single-action dual-wheel brake helps stabilize the K4WAIR after the cart has been positioned.

Together, the cart design, four-way tube movement, and braking system help the technologist transition efficiently from transport to exam setup.

20/20 Imaging K4WAIR Mobile X-Ray Clinical Environments & Applications

The K4WAIR is designed for diagnostic radiography in environments where the X-ray equipment needs to travel to the patient rather than remain in a fixed imaging room.

Mobile & In-Home Healthcare

The lightweight cart and battery-powered generator support imaging workflows that require equipment to move between patient locations.

Relevant environments include:

    • In-home healthcare
    • Mobile diagnostic imaging
    • Point-of-care radiography
    • Sports Medicine & Field Diagnostics

The transportable cart, flexible tube positioning, and wireless DR workflow also support imaging in settings where mobility and adaptable setup are priorities.

Relevant applications include:

    • Sports medicine radiography
    • Field diagnostic imaging

Suitability for a specific examination depends on the selected detector, system configuration, and clinical requirements.

20/20 Imaging K4WAIR Workflow from Transport to Image Review

The K4WAIR brings the major components of mobile digital radiography into one coordinated workflow.

At the imaging location, the K4W cart transitions into its operating position. The technologist can position the X-ray tube with the four-way arm, stabilize the cart, position the wireless DR detector, and perform the exposure using the battery-powered generator.

After exposure, the image is available through Ultra Acquisition Software for processing and review. Preset exams and X-ray techniques, quick-view selection, automatic contrast processing, automatic shutter and cropping, and automatic image saving help streamline image acquisition.

The result is a mobile workflow that carries the X-ray source, positioning equipment, detector, and image acquisition tools to the point of care.

20/20 Imaging K4WAIR Generator, DR & Software Integration

The K4WAIR combines the K4W cart with a battery-powered X-ray generator, wireless DR technology, and acquisition software. Each component serves a distinct role within the complete system.

Poskom PXM-20BT+ Battery-Powered Generator

The K4WAIR uses the battery-powered Poskom PXM-20BT Plus high-frequency generator as its X-ray source.

Within the K4WAIR, the compact generator provides up to 1.6 kW output and 100 kV while traveling with the K4W cart.

For additional generator performance, battery information, applications, and technical specifications, see the Poskom PXM-20BT Plus product page.

14 × 17 Wireless DR Detector Options

The K4WAIR supports 14 × 17 in (356 × 432 mm) wireless DR detector options, including the Momentum-DR GL-P and Universal Wireless DR panel, allowing the system to be configured around mobility, durability, and imaging workflow needs.

The 20/20 Imaging Momentum Wireless DR Panel provides a lightweight wireless detector option with rapid-charging technology.

Detector selection can be matched to the intended K4WAIR configuration and imaging environment.

Ultra Acquisition Software

Ultra Acquisition Software connects digital image capture with exam selection, image processing, and review.

Software features include:

  • Anatomical program selection
  • Preset X-ray techniques and exams
  • Quick-view selection
  • Customizable image sharpness
  • Automatic contrast processing
  • Automatic shutter and cropping
  • Automatic image saving during acquisition

Preconfigured exams can also be customized, with views added or removed as needed during an examination.

Mobile Acquisition Workstation

The current 20/20 Imaging mobile configuration includes a touchscreen business-class laptop for image acquisition and review. Computer models and individual hardware specifications may change over time.

The K4W cart also provides a dedicated area for carrying the acquisition computer as part of the mobile setup.
