Fujifilm FDR SE Lite DR Detector

Category:
X-Ray & U-Arm Systems
Brand:
Fujifilm

The Fujifilm FDR SE Lite is a wireless flat panel detector for general radiography in medical and veterinary X-ray environments. Available in 14 × 17 in and 17 × 17 in formats, it combines wireless image transfer, ISS technology, IPX4 fluid resistance, and CsI or GOS detector options.

Fujifilm FDR SE Lite Wireless DR Highlights & Benefits

The Fujifilm FDR SE Lite is a wireless DR detector designed for general radiography in compatible medical and veterinary X-ray systems. Four detector variants combine 14 × 17 in and 17 × 17 in formats with CsI or GOS technology, giving facilities flexibility to match detector size, positioning needs, and room configuration.

Key Benefits

    • 14 × 17 in and 17 × 17 in detector formats
    • Wireless image transfer
    • Fujifilm Irradiated Side Sampling (ISS) technology
    • 150 μm pixel pitch and 16-bit grayscale resolution
    • IPX4 fluid-resistant construction
    • Square 17 × 17 in format that eliminates portrait-to-landscape detector rotation
    • Optional Virtual Grid and Dynamic Visualization II image processing
    • Rechargeable battery operation

Cassette-style detector dimensions support table, upright, and free-positioning applications across a range of X-ray system configurations.

Fujifilm FDR SE Lite Detector Sizes & Configurations

The FDR SE Lite family includes G35, C35, G43, and C43 detectors across two panel sizes and two scintillator options.

G35 & C35 14 × 17 in Detectors

The G35 and C35 provide the smaller 14 × 17 in detector format for common cassette-size table, upright, and free-positioning applications.

Both use an approximately 18.1 × 15.1 × 0.6 in (460 × 384 × 15 mm) detector body.

G43 & C43 17 × 17 in Square Detectors

The G43 and C43 provide a larger 17 × 17 in square imaging format in an approximately 18.1 × 18.1 × 0.6 in (460 × 460 × 15 mm) detector body.

The square panel supports portrait and landscape exposures without rotating the detector, reducing panel handling during compatible table and upright examinations.

GOS & CsI Options

FDR SE Lite detectors are available with two scintillator options:

    • G35 and G43: GOS, or gadolinium oxysulfide
    • C35 and C43: CsI, or cesium iodide

The appropriate detector can be selected based on panel size, X-ray system requirements, and imaging needs.

Fujifilm FDR SE Lite Medical & Veterinary Applications

The FDR SE Lite supports general radiography across medical and veterinary X-ray environments.

Adult General Radiography

Medical applications include adult general radiography in:

    • Hospitals and health systems
    • Diagnostic imaging centers
    • Outpatient imaging facilities
    • Orthopedic practices
    • Chiropractic practices
    • Urgent care facilities
    • Medical practices with X-ray

Depending on the X-ray system and positioning setup, applications can include radiography of the chest, abdomen, spine, pelvis, and extremities.

Veterinary Radiography

FDR SE Lite detectors can also be configured for digital veterinary radiography in:

    • Veterinary practices
    • Animal hospitals
    • Veterinary specialty facilities
    • Small-animal imaging environments

Veterinary configurations use compatible X-ray equipment, imaging software, and console components.

Table, Upright & Free Positioning

Cassette-style dimensions support placement in compatible X-ray tables and upright detector holders as well as free positioning when additional flexibility is needed.

The same detector format can support flexible positioning in compatible veterinary X-ray systems.

Fujifilm FDR SE Lite Wireless DR Workflow

Wireless image transfer removes the separate cassette-reading step associated with computed radiography. Fujifilm specifies image reconstruction in up to approximately four seconds after exposure, supporting quick image review after acquisition.

Medical & Veterinary Image Transfer

Medical configurations can transfer acquired images wirelessly to the FDR SE Console for review and processing.

Veterinary configurations pair the detector with compatible veterinary imaging software and console components.

Rechargeable Battery Operation

FDR SE Lite detectors use rechargeable battery power for wireless positioning and image acquisition.

Battery performance is approximately 1.7 to 3 hours, with an approximate 2.5-hour charge time using the battery charger.

Fujifilm FDR SE Lite Image Capture & Processing Technologies

Fujifilm Irradiated Side Sampling

Fujifilm Irradiated Side Sampling, or ISS, shortens the distance converted light travels inside the detector before capture, helping preserve image information.

Optional Virtual Grid

Virtual Grid reduces scatter effects in images acquired without a physical grid while helping maintain image contrast and sharpness.

Fujifilm states that Virtual Grid can allow as much as 50% lower dose compared with grid exams, depending on the examination. It does not guarantee an equivalent effect to a physical grid.

Optional Dynamic Visualization II

Dynamic Visualization II adjusts image contrast and density based on characteristics such as anatomy and body thickness to optimize image presentation.

IPX4 Fluid Resistance

The FDR SE Lite features a smooth, sealed design with IPX4 fluid resistance to help protect the detector from fluid splashes during routine clinical use and cleaning.

FDR SE Lite X-Ray System Compatibility

The FDR SE Lite can be incorporated into new DR configurations or used to upgrade compatible existing X-ray equipment.

Its cassette-style design supports compatible X-ray tables, upright detector holders, and free positioning.

Medical configurations can use the FDR SE Console, model DR-ID 330CL. Veterinary configurations require the appropriate veterinary console and imaging software.

MXR can help determine the appropriate FDR SE Lite detector and system configuration for the intended medical or veterinary application.

Fujifilm FDR SE Lite Standard & Optional Components

The standard FDR SE Lite detector package includes:

  • Battery charger
  • Two rechargeable batteries

An optional DC cable is also available.

The FDR SE Console, model DR-ID 330CL, is a separate system component and is not included with the FDR SE Lite detector.
