6-Way Positioning Around Veterinary Patients

The Acuity VDR combines tube-column travel, tube-head rotation, collimator rotation, and tabletop movement to provide multiple ways to align the X-ray beam and patient. This can reduce unnecessary patient repositioning when setting up routine and angled projections.

Lateral Tube Travel & 180° Tube Rotation

The tube column tracks from side to side across the table, while the tube head rotates through 180°. These movements give the operator additional flexibility when aligning the X-ray tube with different areas of anatomy.

67 × 32 in. 4-Way Floating Table

The 67 × 32 in. (1702 × 813 mm) tabletop moves in four directions, allowing the patient to be repositioned relative to the X-ray beam without repeatedly lifting or moving the animal.

The table supports patients up to 300 lb (136 kg).

Rotating Laser-Lined LED Collimator

The rotating collimator combines a laser alignment guide with an LED light field to help operators center and define the imaging field.

Together with the tube and table movement, the rotating collimator also provides added flexibility when setting up oblique projections.

Patient Tie-Downs & Integrated Trough

Built-in patient tie-downs provide attachment points for stabilization when appropriate for the patient and exam.

Exposure Settings from AccuVue Vet

The X-ray generator integrates with Radmedix AccuVue Vet software, allowing X-ray parameters to be entered directly through the imaging software.

This connects technique setup more closely with the digital imaging workflow rather than requiring the operator to move between independent generator and acquisition controls.

Auto-Advancing Exams & Footswitch Exposure

Auto-advancing exams move the operator through the imaging sequence while an exposure footswitch allows exposures to be initiated without operating a separate hand control at the table.

This arrangement helps the operator remain near the patient during positioning and image acquisition.

Table-Side Touchscreen & Wall-Mounted PC

A 21 in. mounted touchscreen provides operational controls directly at the system. The Acuity VDR also includes a wall-mounted PC, with corresponding controls available through both interfaces.

AccuVue Vet Software & Acuity DR Integration

The Acuity VDR combines generator operation with Radmedix veterinary imaging software and compatible digital radiography technology to create an integrated acquisition workflow.

APR Technique Selection & Generator Control

APR, or Anatomical Program Radiography, supports anatomy-based X-ray technique selection. Exposure parameters can also be entered through the integrated AccuVue Vet software.

This helps connect exam selection, technique setup, exposure, and digital image acquisition within the same workflow.

G4 Acuity DR 17×17 Integration

The Radmedix G4 Acuity DR 17×17 detector can be fully integrated with the Acuity VDR. Its 17 × 17 in. (43 × 43 cm) imaging format provides a large square imaging area that reduces the need to rotate the detector between portrait and landscape orientations.
