The CoRE Labs Atlas is an elevating six-way radiographic table for fixed X-ray rooms. Best suited for demanding general radiography and orthopedic workflows, it combines motorized 23 to 34 in height adjustment, four-way floating positioning, 650 lb standard patient capacity, and high-volume construction.
Atlas Elevating 6-Way Radiographic Table
The CoRE Labs Atlas combines motorized vertical elevation with a four-way floating tabletop, giving technologists control over table height and patient positioning without repeatedly repositioning the patient.
Six-way positioning combines four-way tabletop movement with motorized vertical travel, allowing the tabletop to move longitudinally and laterally while the table raises or lowers from 23 to 34 in (584 to 864 mm).
This high-volume radiographic table pairs a compact pedestal with substantial patient capacity and broad tabletop movement, making it well suited to fixed X-ray rooms that need frequent positioning without consuming unnecessary floor space.

The Atlas is designed to handle frequent daily positioning while accommodating a broad range of patients and table-based radiography workflows.
Atlas Patient Access & Table Controls
Smooth, Quiet Motorized Height Adjustment
The Atlas radiographic table adjusts from 23 in (584 mm) to 34 in (864 mm) through smooth, motorized vertical movement.
The low 23 in position can simplify transfers for ambulatory patients as well as patients arriving by wheelchair or gurney. The table can then be elevated to a more practical working height for positioning and imaging.
Four-Way Floating Tabletop
The floating tabletop moves longitudinally and laterally, allowing the technologist to shift the patient relative to the image receptor without moving the entire table.
The configuration provides up to 17 in (432 mm) of longitudinal tabletop movement in each direction and 5 in (127 mm) of lateral movement in each direction.
Foot-Pedal Tabletop Release
Electromagnetic locks hold the tabletop in position. Pressure on the front foot pedals releases the locks so the tabletop can be repositioned while the technologist keeps their hands available for patient positioning.
A SUPERBAR table hand control and duplicate rear table controls are available for configurations that benefit from additional control locations.
Motorized Elevation Controls & Anti-Collision Protection
Vertical movement is controlled through the foot pedals or an optional table hand control.
A standard anti-collision feature is incorporated into the motorized height adjustment. An optional secondary safety configuration can require an auxiliary button to be pressed before the foot-pedal elevation controls operate.
Atlas Clinical Environments & Applications
The CoRE Labs Atlas is designed for high-volume radiography, but its benefits are not limited to large hospitals. Its motorized elevation, four-way tabletop, higher patient weight capacity, and low transfer height can also benefit facilities that prioritize patient access and flexible table-based positioning.
Clinical Environments Best Suited for the Atlas
The Atlas can support fixed radiography workflows in:
-
- Hospital radiology departments and health systems
- Diagnostic imaging centers
- Orthopedic practices
- General radiography clinics
- Multi-specialty practices with dedicated X-ray rooms
Its high-volume construction is particularly beneficial in environments with frequent daily positioning, while the adjustable height and patient capacity can also serve lower-volume facilities that prioritize patient access and positioning flexibility.
Radiographic Applications
When integrated with the appropriate X-ray tube support, image receptor, generator, and acquisition system, the Atlas supports:
-
- General table-based radiography
- Orthopedic and musculoskeletal imaging
- Supine and other table-based patient positioning
- Exams requiring longitudinal or lateral patient repositioning
- Imaging of ambulatory, wheelchair, and gurney patients
- Radiography involving patients who require higher table weight capacity
The elevating tabletop helps bring the patient to the required imaging and working height, while four-way tabletop movement provides additional positioning flexibility once the patient is on the table.
Atlas Receptor Compatibility & X-Ray Room Integration
The CoRE Labs Atlas is designed to operate as a stand-alone radiographic table with compatible standard X-ray equipment or as part of a CoRE Labs room configuration. Plug-in cabling and a single-board interface support integration with standard X-ray equipment, while dedicated options support Halo and Triton tube-positioning systems.
Cassette, CR & DR Compatibility
The Atlas accepts traditional cassettes, computed radiography (CR) receptors, and digital radiography (DR) solutions.
Image receptor travel is 20 in (508 mm), allowing the receptor position to be adjusted beneath the patient for different table-based projections. Bucky, grid, and cassette configurations are also available.
A Bucky is the assembly that holds the image receptor and grid within the table.
Optional 40 in SID Tracking with a Motorized OTS
An optional continuous SID interface allows the Atlas to work with a compatible CoRE Labs motorized overhead tube support to automatically maintain a 40 in (1016 mm) source-to-image distance (SID) as table height changes.
SID is the distance between the X-ray tube focal spot and the image receptor. Maintaining that distance automatically can reduce repetitive tube repositioning during table-height changes.
The CoRE Labs Halo OTS & OTC provides the overhead tube-positioning platform for compatible CoRE Labs room configurations.
Integration with the Triton Floor-Mounted Tube Stand
The Atlas is designed for integration with the Triton floor-mounted tube stand used in the CoRE Labs Halo FMTS X-Ray System.
This provides an alternative room configuration for facilities that prefer floor-mounted tube positioning instead of an overhead tube-support structure.
Add the floraRAD for Upright Imaging
The CoRE Labs floraRAD X-Ray Wall Stand can complement an Atlas-equipped room by providing upright image-receptor positioning.
The Atlas and floraRAD serve different positioning needs within the room. The Atlas supports table-based imaging, while the floraRAD provides the upright receptor position.
Atlas Weight Capacity & High-Volume Construction
Atlas Weight Capacity: 650 lb Standard, 765 lb Available
The Atlas radiographic table has a standard patient weight capacity of 650 lb (295 kg). A 765 lb (347 kg) configuration is available for facilities that need additional patient-weight capability.
An optional bariatric magnet booster increases tabletop retention during patient loading.
3/4 in Solid-Steel Scissor Lift
The elevation system uses a 3/4 in (19 mm) thick solid-steel scissor-lift structure to support motorized height adjustment and higher patient loads.
The table has been tested through more than 60,000 elevation cycles with full capacity onboard, supporting its use in demanding clinical environments.
Bearings & Motion Components
Ball bearings, linear bearings, and bronze bushings are used throughout the table’s movement system to support controlled tabletop and elevation movement.
The structure combines aircraft aluminum and steel with durable powder-coated surfaces.
Compact Pedestal Design
The 50.75 × 28.37 in (1289 × 721 mm) pedestal provides the structural base for the elevating table while maintaining a compact floor footprint for fixed X-ray room planning.
Serviceable Electronics Access
A slide-out electronics board provides direct access to the table’s control electronics for installation and service, reducing the need to disassemble major table components to reach the controls.
The Atlas is made in the USA.
