The Dragon series offers two high-frequency models configured to align with your clinical requirements and power constraints:

Dragon Classic (4 kW Model)

Operating on standard single-phase 110-volt to 240-volt power for maximum compatibility, this unit delivers up to 100 mA and 125 kVp. Equipped with a dual focal spot X-ray tube, it helps lower radiation dose to the patient through shorter exposure times.

Dragon Elite (8 kW Model)

Designed for clinical environments requiring higher output, the Elite model delivers 8 kW of power on 220-volt to 240-volt electrical lines. It supports exposure parameters up to 100 mA and 125 kVp for excellent image quality in demanding anatomical views.

The Dragon is engineered to streamline clinical workflows so operators never have to leave the patient’s side:

• Dual Exposure Controls: Select and adjust techniques at the main control console or directly at the generator and tube head.
• Five Collimator Activation Zones: Turn on the collimator light from five different positions on the unit to eliminate unnecessary movement.
• Gas Spring Arm Support: The counterbalanced arm supports the X-ray tube head for smooth positioning and high mobility.
• Integrated Storage Capability: A built-in cassette storage box securely holds up to eight imaging cassettes or digital detectors.
• Maneuverable Design: A stable wheeled base with positive mechanical brakes makes the system easy to steer and secure in tight spaces.

Intelligent Power & Safety Features

To prevent hardware errors and electronic failures, the Dragon monitors incoming voltage. If it detects undesired incoming voltage drops while operating on poor electricity lines, it automatically derates its output. This prevents potential electronic failures caused by insufficient incoming power and supports steady operation under suboptimal conditions.

Auto-Adapting Single-Phase Line Regulation

Equipped with single-phase line automatic regulation, the system adapts its power output to active line conditions, ensuring stable radiation output and reliable exposure consistency.

1. 1 Region APR Membrane Console: Rugged, tactile membrane controls designed for rapid manual adjustments.
2. 6 Region APR Touchscreen Console: Intuitive digital interface preprogrammed with anatomical protocols for the skull, spine, thorax, abdomen, pelvis, and upper or lower extremities, with quick settings for small, medium, large, and pediatric patients.

Direct Digital Conversion & DR Integration

Both the Dragon Classic and Dragon Elite are digital radiography ready. They can be ordered with a digital conversion package to integrate with your existing DR detectors or paired with digital imaging packages provided by MXR.

Compact Transport Dimensions & Vehicle Loading

At a total weight of only 118 pounds (54 kg), the Dragon is one of the lightest mobile X-ray systems available. For transport, the arm collapses securely onto the chassis, reducing the vertical height to 28.3 inches (719 mm). Long guide rails mounted along the rear spine of the unit protect the frame and make it significantly easier for a single operator to slide and move the system in and out of a vehicle between patient visits.
