X-Cel FB-715NT Podiatry X-ray

Category:
X-Ray & U-Arm Systems
Brand:
X-Cel

The X-Cel FB-715NT is a folding podiatry X-ray system for podiatry and orthopedic foot and ankle practices that need dedicated imaging in limited space. Its patented Tilt-Head, 3.5-inch low base, and 18-inch folded width combine flexible foot and ankle positioning with a space-saving design.

Folding FB-715NT Design for Tight Podiatry Spaces

The X-Cel FB-715NT is a folding X-Cel podiatry X-ray designed for dedicated foot and ankle imaging while conserving floor space when the system is not in use.

Key Benefits

    • Folds to 18 in (45.7 cm) wide
    • Requires a minimum 34 × 51 in (86.4 × 129.5 cm) space
    • when set up for imaging
    • Designed to fit between a wall and chair
    • 3.5 in (8.9 cm) low base
    • 28 in (71.1 cm) imaging distance
    • Patented Tilt-Head positioning
    • Lateral imaging from either side
    • 15 mA output with a 50-70 kVp range

The folding design makes the FB-715NT particularly relevant for practices that need a dedicated podiatry X-ray system while preserving usable floor space around the imaging area.

FB-715NT Foot & Ankle Positioning

The FB-715NT combines compact imaging geometry with a low platform and either-side lateral positioning for routine foot and ankle X-ray exams.

28-Inch Imaging Distance

The system provides a 28 in (71.1 cm) source-to-image distance (SID), the distance between the X-ray source and imaging surface.

This compact imaging distance supports dedicated foot and ankle positioning while contributing to the FB-715NT’s space-saving design.

Lateral Imaging From Either Side

The FB-715NT supports lateral foot imaging from either side of the system. This gives the operator more flexibility when positioning patients and arranging the equipment within the available room space.

3.5-Inch Low Base

The 3.5 in (8.9 cm) base keeps the step onto the imaging platform low while also distinguishing the FB-715NT from the 6-inch-base MB-715NT configuration.

Podiatry & Orthopedic Foot & Ankle Applications

The X-Cel FB-715NT podiatry X-ray system is designed for practices that routinely perform dedicated foot and ankle imaging and need a compact system that can fold when not in use.

Practices Most Suited to the FB-715NT

The FB-715NT is suited for:

    • Podiatry practices
    • Orthopedic foot and ankle practices
    • Outpatient foot and ankle clinics
    • Specialty practices with limited dedicated imaging space

Its folding design can support independent specialty practices as well as larger organizations that need to use imaging-room floor space efficiently.

Common Foot & Ankle X-Ray Exams

The FB-715NT supports routine podiatry and orthopedic imaging needs, including:

    • Top-down (DP) foot views
    • Front-to-back (AP) foot views
    • Left and right lateral foot views
    • Supported foot and ankle positioning

FB-715NT Tilt-Head Workflow & Patient Access

The patented Tilt-Head changes the angle of the X-ray source to simplify transitions between common podiatry X-ray views while reducing unnecessary patient and equipment adjustments.

Fewer Adjustments Between Foot Views

For top-down (DP) positioning, the Tilt-Head eliminates the need to rotate the patient solely to establish the required X-ray angle. For front-to-back (AP) positioning, the X-ray arm does not need to be rotated.

For lateral views, the Tilt-Head also reduces the need to repeatedly adjust the X-ray field. Combined with lateral imaging from either side, this helps operators move between common foot views with fewer equipment changes.

Wheelchair-Compatible Positioning

Compatible views can be performed while the patient remains in a wheelchair, providing another positioning option when transferring onto the platform is not appropriate.

FB-715NT Exposure Controls & Digital X-Ray Setup

The FB-715NT combines dedicated podiatry exposure settings with straightforward controls and can be configured for digital podiatry X-ray imaging.

15 mA Output & 50-70 kVp Range

The FB-715NT operates at 15 mA with an adjustable 50-70 kVp tube-voltage range for dedicated foot and ankle X-ray imaging.

Low-Voltage Exposure Switch & Remote Key Box

A low-voltage exposure switch provides exposure activation at the system. An optional remote key box is available for room configurations that require exposure control from another location.

Digital X-Ray Panel & Software Options

Digital FB-715NT configurations pair the X-ray unit with a compatible DR panel, detector holder, and imaging software selected for the practice’s foot and ankle workflow.

MXR detector options that may be considered for compatible configurations include the 20/20 Imaging 1012V Tethered DR Detector and the 20/20 Imaging Momentum Wireless DR Panel.

Detector, holder, and software compatibility should be matched to the complete FB-715NT digital X-ray configuration.

Compare MXR’s X-Cel Podiatry X-Ray Options

MXR offers three X-Cel podiatry X-ray systems with different approaches to floor space, base height, and patient positioning. The FB-715NT is the folding option for practices where minimizing the system’s footprint is a primary consideration.

FB-715NT: Folding Space-Saving Design

The FB-715NT combines a 3.5 in (8.9 cm) low base, 28 in (71.1 cm) imaging distance, and folding construction.

The system requires a minimum 34 × 51 in (86.4 × 129.5 cm) space when set up for imaging and folds to 18 in (45.7 cm) wide when not in use.

MB-715NT: Stationary 6-Inch Base

The X-Cel MB-715NT podiatry X-ray shares the 28 in (71.1 cm) imaging distance and either-side lateral positioning but uses a 6 in (15.2 cm) base and stationary, non-folding design.

The FB-715NT is the more space-focused option when folding capability and a lower platform are priorities.

X-Cel 715-BD: Low Base & Support Rail

The X-Cel 715-BD Podiatry X-Ray uses a 3.5 in (8.9 cm) base, 29 in (73.7 cm) imaging distance, and integrated patient support rail accessible from the front or side.

The 715-BD is the more relevant alternative when patient support and front-or-side platform access are higher priorities than folding capability.
