AMRAD Medical by Summit SRS Pocket

The AMRAD Medical SRS Pocket by Summit Industries is a compact general X-ray system for practices and imaging departments with limited room space. Its dual-rail, interlocking tube and wall stand design fits rooms as small as 9 x 9 ft while supporting upright, weight-bearing, extremity, and optional table exams.

Full X-Ray Capability in Rooms as Small as 9 x 9 ft

The AMRAD Medical SRS Pocket is designed for facilities that need general radiography capability in a limited footprint. Its floor-to-wall rail-mounted tube stand and wall stand fit spaces as small as 9 x 9 ft (2.74 x 2.74 m) while supporting a practical range of upright and table-based exams.

Key SRS Pocket Benefits

    • Designed for X-ray rooms as small as 9 x 9 ft (2.74 x 2.74 m)
    • Linked tube stand and wall stand that can also position independently
    • Upright, extremity, and weight-bearing radiography
    • Optional mobile table for table-based exams
    • Tilting 17 x 17 in (43.2 x 43.2 cm) wall stand cabinet
    • 40 to 80 kW X-ray generator options
    • 5-year parts warranty

The compact layout gives practices and imaging departments more flexibility when a conventional-sized radiography room is not available.

Dual-Rail Tube & Wall Stand Positioning

The SRS Pocket uses a dual-rail design that brings the tube stand and wall stand together in a compact footprint. The two components can move as a linked unit for routine positioning or separate when an exam requires independent tube and detector placement.

Linked Tube & Wall Stand Movement

Moving the tube stand and wall stand together helps maintain alignment during routine exams. They can also be separated when angled projections, table exams, or other positioning requirements call for independent movement.

EZ-Read Angulation & Preset Positioning

The backlit EZ-Read angulation dial helps the technologist identify and adjust tube angles quickly.

Preset locking positions are provided at 40 in (101.6 cm) to the table and at 40 in (101.6 cm) and 72 in (182.9 cm) to the wall. A system status display indicates when the equipment reaches these preset positions.

15° Tilting Wall Stand Positions

The 17 x 17 in (43.2 x 43.2 cm) wall stand cabinet rotates from 0° horizontal through 105°, with locking positions every 15°.

This one-handed tilting movement supports angled projections such as cervical spine and sunrise knee views without requiring extensive repositioning of the room equipment.

SRS Pocket Clinical Environments & Exam Applications

The SRS Pocket is designed around facilities where available X-ray room space is limited but upright, extremity, weight-bearing, and optional table imaging are still needed.

Imaging Facilities with Limited X-Ray Room Space

Based on its compact footprint and supported exam types, the SRS Pocket can fit imaging environments such as:

    • Physician practices with dedicated in-house radiography
    • Orthopedic and musculoskeletal imaging spaces
    • Outpatient diagnostic imaging rooms
    • Hospital or health-system imaging areas with constrained room dimensions

Its 9 x 9 ft minimum room capability can also make it useful when an existing room cannot accommodate a larger conventional X-ray system.

Upright, Extremity & Weight-Bearing Exams

The standard SRS Pocket configuration supports:

    • Upright chest imaging
    • Extremity radiography
    • Weight-bearing studies
    • Angled wall stand projections such as cervical spine and sunrise knee views

Adding the optional mobile table expands the room to table-based radiography without requiring a permanently installed X-ray table.

SRS Pocket Positioning Workflow

The SRS Pocket combines electric locking, counterbalanced movement, preset positioning, and optional table imaging to help technologists move between common exam setups within a compact room.

Electric Locks for Tube & Wall Stand Positioning

The tube stand provides electric locks for vertical movement, horizontal movement, and tube-arm angulation. The wall stand includes electric locks for horizontal and vertical positioning.

Both assemblies are counterbalanced, reducing the effort needed to move the equipment into position while helping maintain controlled movement during setup.

Optional Mobile Table for Table Exams

The optional mobile table can be brought into the imaging room when a table-based exam is needed and moved out when additional floor space is more valuable.

It uses hospital-grade swivel casters, requires no electrical power, and is available in multiple tabletop lengths and heights.

DR Detector & 40–80 kW Generator Configurations

The SRS Pocket can be configured around different digital radiography and generator requirements rather than limiting every installation to one fixed imaging setup.

Fixed DR or Removable Wireless Detector Setup

The wall stand can be configured with a fixed digital radiography (DR) detector cabinet or a removable tray for a wireless detector.

This gives facilities the choice between a detector that remains dedicated to the wall stand and a removable wireless detector workflow.

40–80 kW X-Ray Generator Options

AMRAD offers high-frequency X-ray generator options from 40 to 80 kW, allowing the system configuration to be matched to the facility’s radiographic requirements and exam mix.
