The MXR Coil Repair Process

We have aligned our logistical support with our engineering milestones to provide a transparent, end-to-end experience. From the moment you notice an artifact to the final safety check, our process is designed for speed, safety, and clinical excellence.

Phase 1: Service Initiation & Logistics

  1. Service Initiation & Rapid Selection: Contact our team to receive a repair authorization. At this stage, we can determine if a coil exchange is the optimal path for your timeline or if a loaner coil is required to maintain your schedule.
  2. Secure Shipping: We provide specialized, protective shipping containers designed to shield sensitive electronics from transit damage, ensuring your asset arrives safely at our facility.

Phase 2: Technical Evaluation & Planning

  1. Initial Assessment & Advanced Diagnosis: Once received, engineers carefully inspect the coil for visible structural damage and connectivity issues. Using sophisticated diagnostic tools, we pinpoint the root cause of the malfunction.
  2. Quote & Approval: We provide a clear cost estimate based on our diagnostic findings. Repairs only proceed once you have reviewed and approved the quote, ensuring full budget transparency.

Phase 3: Engineering & Restoration

  1. Component Replacement: Faulty elements such as wires, capacitors, or connectors are replaced with high-quality parts from our ISO-certified inventory.
  2. Calibration & Testing: Repaired coils undergo rigorous calibration to meet original manufacturer specifications and performance standards, ensuring signal-to-noise (SNR) ratios are fully restored.
  3. Aesthetic Refurbishment & Paint Bay: Coils are moved to our state-of-the-art in-house paint bay. This process involves professional repainting and re-foaming to restore aesthetics to a "like new" finish.

Phase 4: Quality Assurance & Delivery

  1. Quality Assurance & Final Safety Checks: Every repair adheres to stringent ISO 13485:2016 measures. We perform comprehensive final testing for safety standards and potential hazards to protect both patients and operators.
  2. Secure Return & Integration: The refurbished coil is returned in protective packaging. Our engineering team remains available for post-repair technical support to ensure the component syncs perfectly with your system software upon arrival.

Inside Our MRI Coil Center

Performance-Driven Repairs

Every coil we receive goes through a thorough diagnostic evaluation to find the root cause of failure. Repairs are validated against objective performance benchmarks -- no guesswork, just data.

Physical & Electronic Evaluation

Engineers carefully inspect the damaged coil for visible structural damage, connectivity issues, or electronic malfunctions. Following the physical check, our engineers perform electronic bench testing to measure tuning, matching, and decoupling performance. This ensures we address both visible wear and hidden electronic degradation.
