PET/CT Imaging Systems
MXR Imaging provides a variety of PET/CT imaging scanners. Positron Emission Tomography–Computed Tomography (better known as PET/CT) is a nuclear medicine technique which combines, in a single gantry, a positron emission tomography scanner and an x-ray computed tomography scanner, to acquire sequential images from both devices in the same session, which are combined into a single superposed (co-registered) image. The benefit of a PET/CT scan machine allows doctors, especially cancer surgeons, to determine the exact location of a tumor in relation to an organ or spinal column. PET/CT systems combine both images and utilize special software to output colorful images that show clearly the anatomical location and metabolic spread of the affected areas.
Utilizing a reconditioned PET/CT scanner is a great way to start a service without the need for a large capital expenditure for new equipment. Leasing a reconditioned PET/CT machine can be easy, cost-effective and beneficial to your patients.
